S60 D5 2002 Noisey Acceleration from Transmission

Post by patches »

 I have a S60 D5 2002.

Great car!
Hi to all!!!
At 63K The clutch started to slip - so it was replaced!! After that when accelerating or working hard a ticking/click noise can be heard - but when you reach 3000rpm the noise stops!!

The car has now done 99K runs well and good fuel economy!!!

I've had numerious explenations - Noisey clutch springs, a bung missing from the turbo!

Any one any ideas!!!

Patches.

Sounds like a clutch part to me. Probably not worth trying to fix unless you experience some drivabilty problems.
