Hi Everyone,
Did multiple searches on this site [and another] and still haven't found an answer.
What is that gray sealant for the glass headlight lens?
I've read about people just using clear silicone caulk, or using full-on black 3M Windo-Weld ribbon sealer [for glass car windows], but nothing about the grey stuff I encountered when removing the remaining pieces of the S60 lens.
I can post pics after my girlfriend returns with her car, if need be. Thanks in advance!

Yes, you are suppose to use a sealant to keep the water out of it (if you take it off or replace it). Actually, Permatex makes a silicone sealer specific for water pumps...seems like since it's gray in color, it would be a good choice for what you're doing- available at most auto parts stores.
