v70 t5 error code help Topic is solved

had all sorts of problems with my 99 model v70 t5 - latest problem is it seems to lack power and feels like it is missing (very slight) the other day it started to just keep cutting out - turn the key and it would strart up run for another 30 -40 k and stop again. then while moving in the drive at home the engine mang light came on I had this checked which came up with code P1618 - the tuning specialist nor the main dealer know what this is -- anyone help!

According to this site, it's a communication error between the TCM and ECM. Could be a bad or shorted cable.

Hi,
thanks for the link Tom - my local volvo dealer claimed that there was no such code - good job I never gave them the car to fix! They have had this car more than a dozen times trying to fix a lamba sensor fault - which in the end cost me
