Well ten days into ownership and my great new car decided to wake me at 3.40am or the alarm did to tell me its raining - reset alarm ten mins later and same again and so on,4.30 went and sat in car, though about the problem and realised if you lock the doors with the key instead of the fob the alrm does not set.
Must admit it has not rained heavily since I bought the car - is this problem unusual or a common one.
Although I love my T5 don't really want to have to go and play with her at 3am if it can be avoided (and of course as we al know - rain is such an uncommon event in the UK).
Any help or tips would be much appreciated - tired sleepy and the day has not started yet.

90% chance your siren module is going out. Mine did the same thing as yours before it finally gave up. I don't think the rain has anything to do with it, it's just coincidental. Here's a link on how to fix it yourself. The good news is that there's a guy in the UK selling the module and other parts as a kit at a considerable savings. Read through to the end of the post for the details.
