Is it the analog or digital odometer?

Just leave it and count your blessings

It will do great things for the value of the car...

a small gear in the odometer unit has lost a tooth- you can
get a replacement gear from www.odometergears.com or from Ebay-do a
search-a guy sells them for $16 + shipping. You can remove the gauge
cluster yourself- T25 screwdriver-check Bay13 at volvospeed on removal
of dash- you can dismantle the cluster with a T10 and a small phillips-
while you have the odometer gear out, set mileage by rotating the lower
gear that rotates the numbers with a rubber wheel on a small motor from
a toy car.You can even get the mileage from port A7 on the diagnostics-
check the brickboard http://www.brickboard.com/AWD/index.htm?id=680941
- It took me six months to find all the information-
an hour to change the gear and reset odometer. If you aren't up to
changing the gear there is a speedometer shop in Austin texas you can
mail it to, but you have to tell him the mileage to set it to.
