S80 2004 Transmission problem

Post by jun8ior »

Had the transmission flushed, Now the transmission tends to take a second or two to slip into first gear when I first start it up cold. After it warms up and I go from Park to Drive it does fine. Never seems to have this issue going into Reverse tho...should I be concerned? thank you

Maybe it is a stupid question but have you checked the level of the fluid? It wouldn't be the first time that when a tranny is flushed not enough fluid is put in to it by the flushing tech.

Do you have a 6-cylinder engine? If so, did they change the trans filter at the time of the flush? How many miles are on the car?

The flush might haved broken loose some gunk which is now clogging up your filter. I'd try changing the filter. Here's how: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... 11&t=20278
