760 GLE/1987/Replacing P/S Pump
I am replacing my power steering pump with reservoir, and I am just wondering if there is any certain steps or procedures I must take to do this correctly? Or certain tools for this matter. Should I just buy the repair manual for this car?

I posted this earlier today for a 240. It is the same for the 760.
Bill.
You may need a puller to remove the pulley but it isn't specified in my book. The instuctions I have are quite complex so I shall post them for you:
1. Remove pump to bracket retaining bolts.
2. Place a drain pan under the pump.
3. Disconnect the hydraulic connections at the pump.
4. Remove the pump.
Installation is a reverse of the above, minus the drain pan of course. Fill and bleed the system and check for leaks.
