volvo s80 out of nowhere stalled

Just bought a volvo s80 auto and today on the first night the engine cut off and stalled whilst doing around 30mph.
Is this a simple fix and a known problem that can be easily fixed or would it be best to get a full refund as the option is still open to us? Please note b4 the test drive the battery was flat also.

Unless you got a spectacular deal on the car, I'd take it back for the full refund. These cars are very expensive to repair.
