srs airbag warning 2003 S60

On my 2003 S60, the srs airbag service urgent warning is on. A friend who has a diagonstic computer said it was a cluster error, but didn't know what that was. Is anyone farmilar with that error?

My understanding is that only dealers or well-equipped independent shops can clear the airbag warning message because the computer needed to do it is so expensive. The airbags will probably be inoperative until the issue is repaired.
