Timing Belt - A little different question

Post by Guest »

I bought my 850 in 200 with 60,000 miles from the dealer. It came with a 2 year - 24x mile extended warranty. The timing belt was covered under this warranty if it went bad. What I'm wondering is, can I assume that at the time of my purchase the timing belt was changed? The previous records show that it was not done, but I would think that going through the process to receive the warranty that the dealer would probably change it. Just wondering if anyone can shed light on this and your own thoughts.

Thank You

i doubt they changed it, you used the theory that the dealer warranties the timing belt so he probably changed it?, he warrantys the engine for 24x miles, does that mean he changed that to start new? i dont mean to be sarcastic just putting it creatively
