Hello:
I have a strong smell of gas, especially after I refuel, and I've noticed a leak underneath my car, directly below the driver side.
I looked through my owners manual, and could not find a schematic of the undercarriage.
Is the leak and the small of gas connected?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The main high pressure fuel pump and fuel filter is located just slightly behind the dirivers seat under the car. There is a very good chance the copper "O" ring gaskets that seal the fuel line bango fittings are leaking. I would suggest you have this checked immeditaly.

Hi Zizzy
I too noticed a smell after refeulling (but no leaks) and it was due to the rubber gromit surrounding the petrol cap (inside of the petrol filling flap) not being connected properly. As soon as I re-installed it around the lip (just inside the petrol flap) the smell after refeulling went away.
This gromit, installed properly does not allow spilt fuel to fall on the inner side of the body. It just pools slightly just below and around the petrol cap.
Cheers
