So this has been going on for awhile, but now it's really starting to annoy me, once I get over about 55 MPH, my Drivers Side Mirror just shakes so bad you can't see anything with it, is there anything I could do with it, that doesn't require buying the whole side mirror, my passenger side mirror doesn't shake at all, even when I have music blaring in my car, but the drivers side just shakes so bad.
Hopefully you guys have some ideas on what to do, that doesn't require buying a whole new side mirror.

Is it just the glass that shakes or is it the whole thing?
If it is the glass this has happened on other models. One of the fixes can be found at shaking mirror.
Bill.

Alright here's the update, it still shakes, I used Clear RTV Sealant, and loaded that stuff on there, but it still shakes, not as bad as it used to but it still does.
I was checking it out though and when I had music with a lot of bass going, it would make the mirror shake almost as bad as it used to, but when I would hold the end of the mirror, and give it some support with my hand, it wouldn't really shake, so I'm guessing my housing is loose, so I tried tightening the bolt that is in the door, but that didn't really do anything.
Sooo what do you guys think, will I just have to get a whole new housing, because I won't really be able to get into the inside of the housing now cause that mirror is sealed to the max.
If you guys have any other suggestions I'll listen to them, I get tired when I hit about 65 MPH, it just starts shaking bad, not as bad, but still bad enough that it is annoying.

My wife's 2004 V70 driver mirror did the same, shimmied all over. The mirror plate fell off in my hand. The tech at the local dealer said he's seen this before and to just epoxy the plate to the backing. I got some of that 1 minute stuff and ran it around the outside of the mirror plate about 1/2 inch in trying to avoid the heating element that occupies the center of the mirror. So far, so good but I did notice (afterwards, of course) the epoxy said it didn't work so well on nylon--don't know if that will make a difference. If that fails, the next step is to replace the mirror assembly...new about $72-$85 as far as I can tell. Man, the car only has 40k miles and the mirrors are falling apart...what is THAT all about??!!

Poor quality control on a Volvo that wasn't built by the real Volvo team. It had to be pre-1999 to qualify as a real Volvo.the mirrors are falling apart...what is THAT all about??!!
