i love my new to me volvo v40, but i have a few concerns...
i have a 2000 volvo v40 and the speedometer havent worked since i purchased it. is this something thats gonna cost me a whole lot of money? what do you suggest for me to do? in my town there's noone really here that deals with europeans vehicals and the next major dealer is over 2 1/2 hours from me. also when im driving it makes this whistling like squeaking type noise what could that be

Call a Volvo dealer for help with getting the code.
In the U.S. once the car is registerd at the department of motor vehicles it is included in a database for all recalls. The manufacturer is then responsible to send notice of recall to the address on the registration.
