xc70,1999, fuel pump relay?

My '99 xc has been plagued with hard starts over the past 3 months. Just yesterday it just plain stopped running and will only restart after 10 or so minutes to then die again. After research I am suspecting the fuel pump relay. Am I looking in the right direction? I pulled the cover to off the relay and attempted starting. The relay does not stay energized while the car is running. If I hold the relay closed the car runs fine. could it be as simple as R&R the relay?

Answer to your question is Yes. I believe the relay is the same as earlier model 70 series and 850's. There's even a write-up on how to R&R the relay in the repair database.
