Seafoam, how long
I just put a can of Seafoam in my gas tank. How long should it be until I see some results. I have a misfire in cylinder #5, per the OBD reader. The car sat for 6 months with a full tank of gas which I have now used up and am on my third tank of 93 octane.

I read your other post .
Seafoam is designed to work immediately on contact with the effected part (must run it through the system)but sometimes gas issues like deposits on injectors, stuck rings and dirty pumps and sensors take a few days of use/soaking before returning to a usable level. Spark plugs that were wet soaked do not usually come back.
Perform the spark plug change with OEM plugs and make sure all of the electrical connections are clean at the coils and battery. It is possible that your cylinder 5 coil has failed so move it to a different plug dring the spark plug change. This way if cyl 5 misfire comes back you will be one step ahead in the diagnostic.

Granted, I'm not an oil wiz, and I only read here occasionally, but I thought I would add, I ran 1/2 a can of Seafoam through a vac line, and dumped the other half in the crankcase on my 3.5L Kia. At this point, I had about 2700 miles on that oil. I then ran it 200 more miles, and changed the oil. I sent a sample of that oil (Motorcraft 5w20) in to be analyzed, and it came back showing nothing out of the ordinary, of any sort. This UOA is posted in the UOA section here.
What this means to me is, in 200 miles, what I was left with was just oil. Normal oil. Not Seafoam mixed with oil. Whatever Seafoam does when you add it to the crankcase must not last very long.. unless whatever it contains doesn't show up on a normal UOA. Suggesting it's necessary to go an entire OCI before changing it just because you added Seafoam seems pretty unnecessary based on this.

Hi. I posted a question about finding an intake vacuum line on a V70 2004. I wish to use seafoam - does anyone happen to know where I can find intake vacuum?
