S60 purchase advice

Post by D-rock »

Hello all,

I am likely going to purchase a 2003 S60 today and would like any of you to advise me on things to look for. I've only owned old early 1970 Volvos (144 and 145), but it seems like a very different game now as these cars seem to be very sophisticated, and so any advice will be much appreciated: things to watch out for, deal-breakers etc...

(The CarFax suggests that things are okay.)

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

D-rock,

Do not get me wrong, try the car out - first and foremost the turning radius and whether tire rubbing occurs.
These are the things that are still driving me nuts.
Other than that, it is a smooth and nice car to drive.

I have a S60 2004 2.4T, and did the one biggest mistake of my life.
While trying to save money on the repairs - sent it to a garage not the dealer and ending with more damages and in the end, for the peace of mind decided another trip to the dealer for further repairs....

....
