ford owned volvo

Ive got a really big list of Volvos i would love to own. Granted the ones i get to will take years (not alot of $$$ in college), and some of them ill probably never own. But am i in for a dissapointment? are the cars that were built after ford purchased them as good as the old ones ive driven? like for example, a 06 S60 R? i gess what im getting at is, are they still volvos, or are they fords that say volvo on them?

They are still the safest car on the road if your in a accident. The engines are outstanding. Try gabbing a hold of the very top of the door at the rear edge an see if you can pry it open and then try that on a Ford.
I still think there a great car. I don't think the sweeds let Ford influince them much at all. I don't get why they put GM transmission in some?

lol, well i dont really want to pry on my car, but i do know you can pry a ford eneough to get a coat hanger in...i locked the keys in my girlfriends ranger last week.

Ford had nothing to do with ANY of the P2 cars, they were designed before Ford bought Volvo.
The first car that has FORD influence is the 04-1/2 S40-V50, then the New 07 S80 and any Volvo that has come out after that

Ford just steals all the safty features that have cost volvo.and thank god that ford has had no effect on the brand cause if we wanted a taurus(which we dont) we would go buy a taurus. Although the 2010 taurus looks decent.
