04 C70 Dipstick replacement

Does anyone know if someone makes a metal Transmission dipstick for the 04 C70 2.4L. The plastic one I have broke off in the tube and I was lucky to get it out. It is so hard to check that you have to bend the plastic stick to get it in the tube. I had to remove the tube and the broken stick fell right out, but I want to replace it with one that will not break so easily. I have been looking on the web, but can only find plastic replacements.

Don't know of one...how about putting an extension on the plastic one? Still it has a clasp...you'd have to either figure out how to disable that or still reach down deep to unlatch it.
