1987 760T - Turbo brand?

Hello guys,

My turbo is fried. I'm well versed in anything BUT turbo manufacturers and the different specs the turbos come with.

Question, if I'm looking for a turbo for my 87 760, and the turbo it has is stock, what is the brand and model of the turbo, and what other cars have this type of turbo? (I'm looking for one on craigslist and/or ebay.)

Will some be only oil cooled, or will they all be of my configuration?

If it is stock it will be a Garrett T3 tic.

The T3 was also used on the Saab 900 (1980 - 1989), the Saab 9000 (1986 - 1989) and several other makes including Mercedes and Ford.

How bad is the turbo and how handy are you? The T3 can be rebuilt as a DIY project with no special tools or knowledge. You can read about it here.
