I have a 2004 S80 AWD. Today I ran over a rock and now I have a bent plate under the car. I am not even sure what it is called. I managed to take the part off and hammer it semi flat. I could probably get it back on but am looking to see if I should just get a new (undamaged) one.
Now to try and describe the part.
Under the car the exhaust (or maybe converter) runs down the middle. There looks to be a heat shield between it and the floor pan. Near the back side or he heat shield (just past the middle of the car) there is a mount bracket (or something) that bolts (with two bolts) to the frame and goes over the exhaust pipe. THAT is the part that is bent.
I took it off to "flatten" it back out (or as much as I could). The heat shield is loose and when the car is running, the heat shield rattles slightly. I pressed a flashlight against the heat shield and it stopped rattling.
I am trying to find out the name of the part so I can try to get another. I have looked through every page of my Chiltons but can't see it listed (pictured) anyplace.
I appreciate any help that anyone can give on naming this part.
2004 s80 under carriage part bent. don't know what it is.

Here are a couple of 'print screens' (couldn't get my pdf writer to work to print the whole topic so hope enough is shown to help you) of the front and rear body floor parts.
Maybe you can see what you are looking for....
Or how about you take photo of it and go to the stealership to get a part number?
