740 Problems
Hello, My 740 has alot of problems. My Hand Brake does not work at all. Sometimes my engine revs up on idle without me touching the gas. My rear right tail light cover has fallen off (it needs to be replaced). Some punk kids knocked off both of my front turn signal covers (those need to be replaced). And i hear some type of hissing noise at all times when im running the car. And i think i have a transmission leak, because before i put in more trans fluid i have in drive if i hit the gas then all you hear is revs and no go. But i have to replace it like every day. If anyone could help me repair this i would like that great.
I am sorry if this sounds rude but your post is like going to the doctor and saying "I don't feel well, what's wrong".
The hand brake could be rusted or sized cables, work park brake shoes that need adjusting or replacing, worn rear rotors, or a brocken cable. The system is very simple and the problem should be easy to locate.
Fast idle and the "hissing" sound are probable related, you have a vacuum leak that again should be easy to locate, just start the engine and listen for the hissing sound under the hood, a vacuum line or intake hose is probably either disconnected or has a hole in it.
The transimossion leak could be many things, front pump seal, cooler lines, pan gasket, again a simple inspection should be able to locate the leak. Some transmission leaks are easy to fix, others will require more extensive work which, depending on your mechanical ability, may be better done by a professional. Yes low tarsnission fluid levels will cause the trany to slip, make sure the level is always correct.
Finally your broken lights are a matter of simple replacement
