Question: V70 2002 dipped headlights visibility distance

Can anyone point me to where I can find out how far ahead dipped headlights illuminate - where the light hits the road - on a 2002 V70 with factory settings? And info about stopping distances. I need figures to show a cranky elderly driver who insists on driving in the countryside at night without full beam, ever.
