Hi Bill,
It's me again...'89 760t wagon.
My blower motor is working but the only air that comes out, both hot and a/c, is from the side vents between the door and dash board. I have replaced vaccum lines and those two little check valves and a few of those, oh so hard to find, fittings that hook up to the firewall connections. The air that does come out heats and cools very quickly but nothing from the front or under dash vents.
Also, how hot is my turbo supposed to get?
thanks,
marty
no air from vents

Have you got the Electronic Climate Control? If so it has a self diagnostic capability.
Bill.
I have seen them glowing red but generally you should be looking at 800C (1400F). A lean mixture will increase the temperature.how hot is my turbo supposed to get?

Yes sir, it is ECC. How do I self-diagnostic it? (Remember, I'm the one you have to explain things like I'm a third grader)

Hopefully this will pinpoint what is wrong.
Unlike the engine self diagnostics the EEC will delete the codes when you switch off the ignition so the check must be done when you have seen the light flash, if it does.
Bill.

Hi Bill,
I did the diagnostic thing a few times and absolutely no flashes.
I presume this is a good thing. Air still only comes out of side dash vents
by front doors.
What can I try next to get air coming out of all vents>
thanks
Marty
