Hello, Frying lamp sockets/wiring with powerful bulbs is a common topic on these threads. PLEASE keep the comfort and safety of the other people on the road in mind. I read that 40% of people find halogen bulbs produce a painful light. It's not always about our comfort alone. If your eyes are getting old consider slowing down and driving less at night. Kira
I got 100 watt as opposed to 55 watt from HiProPower.com from EBay. Had them on my old 2000 (lasted for years) and I am putting them on my new 2007.
Just remember to AIM the lights so as not to offend (blind)
other drivers (Directions for aiming found on internet). I use the white light (5900K) - they increase MY visual sight by at least 50%. Extreme help comes from the 100 watt fog lights as I drive through mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee to visit my son. Just remember to aim them correctly!!

I agree 100% it is a real shame what so many other inconsiderate drivers are doing.I spend a lot of nights driving in all kinds of weather troubleshooting for local electric utility.More and more drivers are running with highs on and will not dim them. You are right again so many lights today literally make the road ahead dissappear, even the fogs are as bright as some high beams.Oh well it's the world we live in today. The fogs on my car make no difference at all.Georgeandkira wrote:Hello, Frying lamp sockets/wiring with powerful bulbs is a common topic on these threads.
