V70 2001 Air conditioner problem
V70 2001 Air conditioner problem
The air conditioning to our V70 volvo 2001 only works on heating on the driver side. It blows freezing cold air to the passenger side all the time the air conditioning is operating. If we have the air conditioning on heating to both sides it only blows hot air to the driver side. My volvo dealer seems to think it is a sensor in the system to the passenger side but tells me the sensor cannot be replaced. I find this hard to believe that volvo would release a part that can fail & cannot be accessible for replacement. Can anyone help please, my wife is wanting to trade the vehicle in because we reach minus 10 degrees in winter and really need the heater, but the vehicle is in excellent condition and way to good to get rid of.
I can't believe a volvo dealer is telling you they can't fix their product.
Perhaps you should request another tech look at it or go and have a talk with the service manager, or both. Mean while I'll see if I can find a bulletin.
Just checked, there maybe new software that will help. TECH-NET note 87-49

Hello cattledog, I saw your post from Feb. 20th regarding the Aussie's A/C. You mentioned "TECH-NET note 87-49". Is this a sevice or website? TIA, Kira
