Where's PCV breather filter?

Post by bluezero000 »

I'm trying to tune up my 96 Volvo 850. One thing mentioned on the Internet is PCV breather filter. Where is it, though? Is it the one below windshield wipers? Thanks.

The flame trap is located on the plastic intake manifold can be seen if you remove the tube from the air filter box to the intake manifold. It appears as a small srceen. My dealer said remove and DON'T replace it. The turbos never were equiped with the screen. it's about nickle sized and 1/4" thick
