Hi I am in the process of producing a list of the differences between the terms we use depending on which continent we are on so if you could supply me with what you call the various parts I can begin formulating the list.
Please send in Private messages so not to clog the board up
Thanks Charly

I think it would be better to post it, then we all can see.
Some other ones I thought of off the top of my head:
UK-- US
Spanner-- Wrench
Bonnet-- Hood
Hood-- Roof
Boot-- Trunk
Saloon-- Sedan
Estate-- Station Wagon, or just Wagon
People mover-- Mini van
Coupe'-- Coupe (spelled the same, but pronounceed differently, US does not have the "eh" sound at the end
Silencer-- Muffler
Tarmack-- Pavement (Except on airport runways, for some reason we call that Tarmack also)
Overtake-- Pass (as in going around a slower vehicle)
SatNav-- GPS
Drivers seat-- Passengers seat
I'm just going by what I hear on Top Gear, so I apologize if I got any of your terms wrong.
