1998 V70 CrossCountry - Banging Noises from Undercarriage

Post by v70halifaxns »

We have a 1998 V70 CrossCountry Stationwagon that is causing us grief. We have had it into the local Volvo dealership 8 times in the past year but to no avail can they find the problems we keep bringing to their attention. There is a:

1. Banging noise that is terribly loud directly under the driver/passenger seats that reverberates up through to the engine. This always happens when the car is driven on wet or snowy conditions.

2. The car always pulls to the right when we hit 110-115 kms an hour. Brand new tires have been put on the car recently and the car still pulls to the right.

3. Heavy vibrations in the steering wheel when driving all the time.

Volvo Halifax cannot figure this out. Can someone in the world out there help us with some ideas to take to them?

Cheers.
