european v-70 question

Post by Voyager AL »

just bought a 98 v-70. It has a round hitch, I was told it was a foreign type. Where can I get a ball-mount for it?

Do you mean a pintal and hook style? Looks like a thick ring of steel.
How about a picture.
How does it mount to the car?
Is it inserted into a 1 1/4 hitch mounted at the rear of the car?
please describe

I'll take a pic today. Not a pintle. looka like a male 1" pipe, blocked off. Has a notch on the right side where a spring loaded ball would lock the female bal mount onto. Gotta go to work now....

Have you tried your local indespension people ? They're fairly good if not a little pricey. Volvo main dealer would also be able to help. Or there is a towbar specialist on the internet not sure of the address of hand but I'm after a Towbar for my UK RHD T-5
