Remote entry

Post by rfided »

Something unusual is happening with my keyless remote. Every so often the alarm will go off and i have to push the remote to disable it. I've had to resort to wrapping it in foil since it always seems to happen in the middle of the night. All of the other buttons seem to work alright. I only have one remote so i can't check against another. BTW if the remote is bad how much does it cost at the dealership to reprogrom remotes. I heard that is the only place you can get it done.

Thanks for your help.

I wonder if your button is just being pressed by the casing of the remote. I replaced my case shell after I dropped the remote too many times, and it will now randomly lock the doors or open the trunk if I hold my keys by the plastic case of the remote.

Try cracking it open and re-seating the buttons.

I'll try to re-seat the buttons. It's kinda weird for the alarm to go off just leaving the keys on the counter. thx

I reseated the red button and it still goes off for no appararant reason. The momentarty button may be overy sensitive. I may just get new remotes.
