I just bought a 2001 S80 with a T6 engine that has 30,000 miles on it. This is my first Volvo to own and I do not know a whole lot about them except for their saftey and reliability reputations they have. I have noticed on my car that on cool mornings, under 40 degrees the transmissions shifts and acts like it is having major problems going from Drive 1 to Drive 2 and a rather hard shift into Drive 3. Is this normal or is it an issue that I should have the dealer address?
Thanks,
Randy

It's not normal. I'd have them look at it. Also, I'd have the transmission fluid and filter changed. It takes Dexron III or VI. See the sticky at the top of this forum.
