Audio Equipment on 1994 850 GLE

Hi,

I'm buying a 1994 850 GLE estate, my question is; Does anyone know if the Volvo Cassette player will run a CD autochanger and does it need to be a Volvo unit, or can it be something else?

What I would like is to listen to CD's. I have the choice of an auotchanger connected to the existing cassette head unit (preferred)
A new single cd player head unit, preferrably Volvo,
or a brand new autochange and head unit.

Go for a new aftermarket head unit. It will most likely be the more cost-effective solution by a long shot, and aftermarket equipment will most likely have better specifications. check out Alpine or Clarion.
