Where to purchase a quality Steering Rack from?

Post by spseminara »

My '95 850 Turbo is in need of a new rack soon. I've read through the forums and have seen people having to replace their racks 2 or 3 times. Being that this isn't a fun job I'm looking to replace it once with a quality part. Can anyone recommend a business to purchase a quality new or rebuilt rack from?

Thanks in advance!

I have replaced two racks (2 different cars) and used FCP Groton's racks.
Inexpensive and were just fine (and still are)

Or you can buy a rebuild kit for about $50 and rebuild it yourself.

I dont know why your rack needs replacement but if it's leaking try Valvoline MaxLife transmission fluid with stop leak. It worked on mine and many others in the forum.
