Shop repair times "Book Time" for common procedures

Post by matthew1 »

With great bravery and cunning, MVS Forum Moderator Bill of Durham has gone underground, deep into the world of Volvo repair shops... and come out with these. Many thanks to Bill! Hooray!

XC90, C30 and V50 coming up... can't say when just yet.

R & I = Remove & Install.
S & R = Strip & Repair.
C & A = Check & Adjust.

The times are in hours eg 7.50 = 7hrs 30 minutes

These download links were probably not allowing you to download, if you've tried. My apologies. MVS Forum user Tailor notified me of this yesterday, and now it's fixed.

As Matthew said, I went underground, through the sewers, up a ventilation shaft and fought my way past guard dogs and security men. Then I asked my friendly Volvo tech if I could borrow his disc. I am now trying to persuade him to let me have the newer version. So far he has resisted thumb screws, bamboo under the fingernails and shock therapy. I know he will give in when I stop his beer ration.

Bill. :P
