I have a 97 850 wagon, which may be similar or not, but I can recommend Darryl Waltrip Volvo in TN for OEM and also FCP Groton. I bought ATE rotors, Volvo pads and shim, ATE grease, and Scan Tech pins and springs from FCP and they all worked fine. Good price with fast shipping too!

Daryl Waltrip no longer ships out-of-state. The folks at FCP have always been good to me, though...and quick!

I got my parts from FCP; IPD is also a good source.

I used FCP and used regular shipping and got the parts in less than 24 hours, I was like "damn that was quick!", good price on OEM. Don't use NAPA i ordered a cv boot axle and it was CHINESE, put that in very hesitantly one Sunday afternoon. ...

Do you have to have mail order parts? You can get pads and rotors at Autozone, O'reilly, NAPA, Advanced, etc. I'm happy with my Autozone Duralast pads/rotors on my 850, it's not like it's a race car.ryanv70 wrote:does anybody know a good place to get brake parts for a 98 v70. thanks
While it's not a big item; I just received a throttle body blade for a 960 FedEx from Daryl Waltrip today. They threw in a throttle body gasket too, I was pleasantly surprised. I live in AR and they're in TN so it wasn't like shipping across country.jablackburn wrote:Daryl Waltrip no longer ships out-of-state. Good news if DW is still doing out of state sales again. Wasn't as advantageous for me cause I am in TN and had to pay sales tax, but I have still used them for some things.
FCP is OK, but when I ordered ATE rear rotors for my S70 they accepted the order on-line but were out of them and substituted Brembo without asking first. I specifically wanted to avoid Brembo, but they turned out to be from Italy and not China and I have been satisfied. When I complained they said I could try them and return if I wasn't satisfied.
I have been happy with eeruoparts.com over the years as well and their free shipping is available on purchases over something like $40 (check their site to be sure) while I think FCP's is a lot higher ($100?).
I also once purchased AutoZone ceramic pads for my Saab and was real pleased for the few thousand miles I drove it before the tranny died (now is just sits in my driveway waiting for I'm not sure what, maybe a miraculous healing).
On Ozark Lee's recommendation I bought Mintex (red box) pads all the way around for the S70 and have been very satisfied with them.
