Outside Temperature Readings Are Incorrect

Post by Lobo1943 »

Hello:

I have a 2001 Volvo S60 T5 and I love it. I am having some problems with the outside temperature sensor reading. For example, the real temperature may be 85 degrees. but my temperature reading may be 34 degrees or something like that. Is there a way that I can make this repair? My understanding is the sensor is somewhere around the front bumper. If I can fix the problem would someone please tell me how and how difficult it will be.

Regards,

I have no idea how to toggle Fahrenheit and Celsius mode in your car, but sounds to me like you're in Celsius mode - check your owner's manual (available at Volvo's website if you don't have one):
