240 Engine kills when starting up after brief cool down

My '92 240 Wagon has an issue in that after warmed up and running around town, I will stop and shut down the engine for a brief period -- usually about 20 minutes or less. When I start the car back up and engage the car into drive the engine immediately kills. Then I'll restart, rev it a bit, and take off and everything is fine. It never kills in any other situation. Cold starts are fine, and the engine never kills, as well. Any ideas? -- Fuel Injection relay, air box thermostat? I'm at a loss. . .
