I have a 2001 V70 with 125k and the headlight relay/chip keeps burning out. The low beams both go out at the same time as a result. I had the relay/chip replaced 3 times now in 1 year. When I replaced the headlight relay/chip today, I noted that the relay/chip housing (not sure if that is the correct term) had signs of burn marks.
Any ideas what is causing this? I am concerned if this keeps up, the relay/chip housing will need to be replaced at a big expense.
For reference, I replaced part CSH4/Shunt low beam OEM 20/27 on page 26 of the following link

Thank you for your help!

Sorry if you get this twice but it keeps giving me an error when I try to email you. Do you happen to have the shun/relay config for a 2001 Volvo S60 T5? I'm having the same issues. I know the V70 is similar in configuration but has its differences. Thanks!
