Hello All -
Ive breifly looked around and cant seem to find anything on the subject. My right side fender indicator light will not light (04 S60R 6 speed)- changing lanes is a bit more difficult in heavy traffic. I know its not the bulb because i changed it already, it doesnt seem to be any alarm sensors as the rest of the amber lights flash when locking the car - just not this one. Anyone experience this before? I feel its most likely a relay - but that would only make sense if it had its own relay and i cannot seem to find out as wiring diagrams (although very helpful in some cases) are not my specialty. If not a relay than perhaps its just the wiring? I seem to remember my local volvo mech. saying that the fender lights were wired seperatly from the front and rears?
Anyhow, does anyone know if the fender indicators have their own relays?
Thanks!!

Was this car ever damaged on that side?
No, they do not have a separate relay and I think either the actual light socket is bad or you have a broken wire somewhere along the line.
The simplest thing to do is buy a used light from a place like erie, try that first before you tear the car apart

yeah its been damaged before - rear-ended on the driver side. from what ive gathered it doesnt appear that any major wiring components for that particular circuit are in the rear though - i may be wrong? i agree and it may be the socket - ill try erie as youve suggested (and buy some tape to put the lens back on since it appears to be almost impossible to get them off w/o breaking them!!). my local volvo shop also said if it were wiring it may be easier/cheaper to re-wire inline with the right front indicator - hes done it before without any issues.
thanks @JRL
