Hi guys:
I am looking at a 1995 960 wagon in Texas with 150,000 miles.
I've never owned a Volvo. My wife likes the utility and I've heard of the reputation for safety, so we're in agreement.
This one has a sunroof, aft-facing 3rd seat, leather interior. The owner (whom I've not contacted yet) put a list on the dashboard with a number of recent repairs such as timing belt, front brake pads, and a few minor items. The tires are evenly worn almost down to the wear indicators.
Are there things which, in your experience with these cars, I should ask him about? Any cautions?
I look forward to the prospect of joining the Volvo-owning family and hope you can spare a moment to help me.

I own a 960 wagon, things to look for- make sure it had the timing belt & timing belt pulleys and tens have been changed. they should be changed every 65000. miles. If it was done at a dealer there should be a tag seal on the timing cover with the miles written on it. Also check the front suspension. that is a soft spot on volvos. other than that, their bullet proof.
