The cover - part on my passneger side just under the glove box has come loose and is looking like it needs to be replaced - not sure how to describe the part - kind of like a kick-pad cover or something...any idea what I'm talking about and where I can get one? Also looking for a solid interior panel tailgate replacement the one I have keeps coming loose...
Much thanks.

if you can take pics of what you need and post it would be easier. I would suggest going to a junkyard and you'll probably find what your looking for.

I just reinstalled mine today. I had it out while removing some waterlogged padding under the carpets.
It's held in at the top by 3 tabs just behind the flange of the flocked glovebox interior. You have to remove the 5 or 6 screws holding in the the glovebox interior and take it out. you'll see the three tabs. Two have screws, the one in the middle just aligns everything. The tabs with the screws are probably broken like mine wound up while trying to get it out. There is enough meat on the tabs to drill new smaller holes and use tiny sheet metal screws to anchor it up, especially the middle tab. One screw in the middle tab could probably do the job alone. Drill through the tabs and the plastic plate behind them that they attach to. I used the brass screws you would use on a doorknob striker plate. It's really that easy.
The attachments at the bottom just slide in, but can be a pain, but the seem indestructible. If your trimplate is loose at the bottom, it's probably just not in right.
Hope that helps.

Just tap (drill) a small hole then screw the dash back up with a 1" to 1-1/4" sheet metal screw, I do this all the time with falling lower dashes
Same for the tailgate:
Volvo (and others) sell a tailgate repair kit for about 20 bucks or so
