NO HEAT
NO HEAT
I have a 2001 S80 T6 with 146K. I purchased it in July and I am the second owner. Previous owner seemed to be up to date on all maintainance. That said, it's getting colder here in Philadelphia and when I turn on the heater, I need to crank both dials on my climate control unit to the red mark past 80 to get any heat out. When I do, I get a distinctive fuel or engine smell coming into the cabin. My A/C worked great since I had it and my temp. guage is solid straight up after the engine heats up. No fluctuating or anything like that. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
Hi, do you smell a sweet smell (antifreeze) when you turn the heater on? wet carpet? do the windows fog up? if so, the heater core might be blown.
Also check the damper doors, turn the radio down and put the fan to low. change the temperature from cold to warm, and if you don't hear any mechanical noises, the damper doors are broken or stuck
