Washer fluid reservoir wires ripped

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Washer fluid reservoir wires ripped

Post by andrei3333 »

99 T6

the wires that power the washer fluid pump and level sensor seem to have been ripped apart.. i can solder them back together but its hard to understand which wires connect to what, the yellow wires seem to be intact, but there are 3 black wires that are ripped, i have vadis but it only shows the harness not the wire connections.

Would anyone please be able to take a pucture and post it here of the connections underneath the washer fluid bottle? im pretty desperate now as the car is not safe to drive without washer fluid available with the snow looming so i need your help ;-(

The black wires are all earth (ground) wires. The wiring diagram shows the earth lead from the washer motor goes to the same earthing point as the wires from the washer level sensor and the right side signal turn light. That would account for the three blacks.

With broken earth leads it doesn't really matter which is soldered to what, more so as they all go to the same earthing point.

Fixed, thanks, i could not get under there comfortably so i paid someone else with a lift to do it, but all is fine now, i still had the turn signal working though, but the fuse for the washer pump blew and had to be replaced as well btw
