volvo 940 turbo oil consumption

volvo 940 turbo oil consumption

My 940 turbo wagon with 118,000 miles went from no oil consumption between changes to using 2 quarts in 3,000 miles. No blue smoke from the tailpipe. Might the problem lie with a plugged flame trap?
