help with some upgrades

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

help with some upgrades

Post by volvo_96 »

I recently purchased a white 96 volvo for my wife and I was thinking of making some little changes to the car like K&N filter, foglights, side markers, rear brake lights (clear type), head light assembly (is there any?), and most important: suspension, wheels and tires. Don't wanna lower it too much cuz then she'll mess up the bumber. Can I just replace the springs? It's cheaper I guess. I don't want the car to be bouncing all over the place either, so it's got to be a good set of springs. About wheels and tires...what do you recommend?
Appreciate your help.

a good upgrade for springs is eibach's set because they're dual rate, so they aren't at rough as most other ones, and a K&N airfilter would definately help out, but i would recommend some anti-sway bars which run around $300 from ipd which help a lot if you want to do some suspension upgrades and you really notice the improvement
Silver 98 S70 T5M - ipd sway bars, synthetic oil, brembo rotors, relocated horns, Alpine CDA-7995 head unit, Alpine KCA-420i iPod interface adaptor, JL audio e4300, Rockford Fosgate 1001bd, 2 12" Eclipse subs, 2 digital 1 farad audiobahn caps
