Hello and thank you in advance.
I own a 2004 Volvo XC70. It recently just got colder here and since then my rear windshield washer has not been spraying. I can hear it hum but nothing is coming out. I was putting in washer fluid which was good for up to -40 Celsius weather, but I've heard that it could still be something stuck in the washer fluid lines. Is there any way I can go about figuring out what is the matter. I've been looking for a manual or a repair guide that could help but have not found anything for my model and year.
This has been bugging me for awhile. I've tried taking it into a heated garage with no luck. Would really appreciate any guide that could identify where I could look. Nothing seems to be frozen or blocking the fluid jets, so it could be internal. Might it be the jet itself? I do hear it engaging so I'm hoping that isn't the problem.
Thank you for any advice.
Eric

Is there any screen wash fluid in the spare wheel well? I would also pull up the floor panel to the right of the spare wheel well lid and make sure the pipe hasn't come apart at the joint under this panel - Mike
Hi Mike,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
I looked where the spare wheel is located but everything is bone dry. There were even a couple old dried out leaves. I also looked under the floor panel to the right of the spare but couldn't find the pipe. Is it high or low? What specifically am I looking for.
