Buying Advice to replace 2004 S60

Post by 98expeditionXLT »

One of my family members while driving our 2004 S60 auto 2.5L, fully loaded with 100K miles was rear ended by a 2000 V70 and pushed into a 2005 V70. With damage on the front and rear the insurance company plans total car. I want to buy another S60 but need help to find out what years/motors might be best. One option is to find another 2004 S60 even if it has 100K miles but if I can get a newer S60 for a few extra bucks I would not mind. On the later models many engines are 2.5T or T5. I am only interested in the FWD.
I really like the 5 cyl NA engine as I have a 1995 850 with 248000 miles that runs like new.

Any comments on your experience with S60's will be appreciated. Thanks.
