Today my battery died in my 2005 S40. I got a jump start and the card started fine. When should I replace my battery??

I think I left the light in the middle of the car on. There is a button for the interior lights evan though the lights were shut off the button was in the wrong direction. I think that of might of been the problem. I do have a blown speaker. I dont know when the battery was bought.

I got a new battery and everyting seems fine now. I would reccomend anyone who has a battery that is at least five years old to get a new one in the cold weather.

Five years is what auto-electricians reckon for a good battery. Some of the cheaper units are only good for three that's why their warranty is 2 years or, sometimes, less.
