Ask Evolve what they recommend. If that is who you are getting your tune with. I prefer IPD but its your money.

Normally the exhaust past the turbo should be restricted as little as possible. That being said the exhaust temps have cooled down in the first 3 feet so after that the pipe can be somewhat smaller. This is why most report a happy gain from a downpipe.

A very large open exhaust is only useful for upsetting your neighbors and giving a reason for the local police to stop you. Once you have adequate flow you are fine. The old school sizing for a downpipe was to accomplish a maximum velocity of 250ft/second.

It depends on how LOUD you want it
The larger exhausts are loud and they usually drone
