98 S70 T5 Exhaust Q?

I am wondering if it's worth having the factory muffler, which is the size of my girlfriends suit case. I mean purse....
(don't tell her! ) removed to help with the exhaust flow better, looking that thing is just looks big bulky and restrictive, I will eventually do an IPD Down pipe and cat back but that's not till i get my taxes back... i searched and searched and didn't really find anything that said that roving it and just installing a pipe would help or harm, to me i would think it would flow better and give a better tone, but not 100% sure this is the 2.3 T5 so to me it makes scene to get the air flow moving fast with little restriction as possible. and help would be great!

The most cost effective exhaust systems I have found are from OBX Racing. They are cheaper than OEM, and even cheaper than the Chinese crap from the aftermarket vendors but their stuff is really well made.

They tend to cater to the ricers and they don't list much Volvo stuff on their website. If you email them they can give you a quote for what you need (turbo back or cat back).

I could so answer that but, given my impression of the demographics of the board, I think I will pass so as to not PO the DFL Party in Minnesota and all of Vermont.
